Photo and Profile Media Help

Improve profile-photo quality, troubleshoot uploads and make careful privacy choices before sharing personal media.

Photo Upload Basics

Use a clear, recent image in a commonly supported format. If an upload fails, check the file size, connection, app permissions and whether the image violates the rules shown on the upload screen.

  • Avoid screenshots with unrelated interface elements.
  • Do not upload another person’s image without permission.
  • Remove phone numbers, addresses and other sensitive details from the frame.

Choosing a Primary Photo

Choose an image where your face is visible, lighting is natural and the photo represents you accurately. Avoid misleading edits, impersonation and images that expose someone else’s private information.

Public and Restricted Media

Before uploading, review who can see the image and how access is granted or removed. A “private” or restricted setting reduces visibility but cannot guarantee that a recipient will not save or capture the content.

Only share media you are comfortable having another person retain. Never share intimate content under pressure.

Verification Prompts

If the destination platform offers profile verification, follow the live instructions there. Review what will be collected, why it is needed and how it is handled before submitting. This guide does not collect verification photos or videos.

Report Misused Images

If someone uses your image without permission, preserve the profile URL or screenshots and use the platform’s reporting process. For threats involving intimate images, contact an appropriate local safety or law-enforcement resource.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I email photos to this website for upload?

No. Upload profile media only through the account interface on the destination platform.

Does a private album prevent screenshots?

Do not assume so. Visibility controls cannot guarantee that a recipient will not capture or retain media.

Why is a photo still pending?

Processing and review times can vary. Check the status and current guidance shown inside the app or platform.
